The trick for the torque converter nuts is that on the driver's side of the block, there's an access port with a rubber grommet in it. Gives you direct access to the nuts.

shouldn't you prime the new pump before starting up the car?

I'm doing mine with this great video. The hardest thing to do on my car was the cross member bolts that are too long and hit the floor and on right side the fuel lines are in the way.. At 6:56 just remove the rear exhaust bolts to provide 2 inches for the removal. It was easy on mine since I bought the hole unit and just swapped out with the new extension housing.

Awesome video helped me a lot except my Vic bolts seem the be torqued 1000 ft pounds from factory 😵

I have to do a similar conversion on my 41 Pontiac. I'm hoping to find an electric motor that doesn't need so much modification. Thanks for sharing your experience.

So I see all these videos for fixing the problem I’m having and everyone removes the crossmember but I only have to swap the torque converter. Couldn’t I just slid the transmission backwards far enough to put a new one in instead of dropping the crossmember or no?

800 series Cummins 250 HP the 6wheel drive is activated by shifting transfer case,not a toggle switch.

at 6:04 you pulled out the speed sensor. Is there anything you'll have to do with the transmission Park spring loaded lever that prevents going into park at 5mph or above? When you place it in park a rod goes into the extension housing but the spring loaded lever stops it above 5mph that can flip the car over.

How did you get the pipe from the pump off ? you skipped that part and just put it in the Bench

Why didn't you just replace the whole unit(pump and pulley)? They cost another $30, and save you a whole ton of grief.

My injectors have also a big metal thing going to my carburetor I don't like it I had to leave my carburetor sitting on top of my intake while replacing it and floated in place by the metal pipe thing I like your setup a lot better

Why do you get too fuel lines and only got one am I a unprivileged 06 or does that fuel injector rail is R b better

This definitely helped out so much! I figured out though if you’re stuck on jackstands or wheel ramps like I was, you can use the weight of the car to drop the crossmember by wrapping a chain around the crossmember and jacking up the car from the side of the car with the chain underneath the floor jack to provide tension on the chain! 3 creaks later and it came right down! Other then that a definite thumbs up from me!
